You could wonder why that would be relevant to content management and open source CMS projects? Well, this is relevant for multiple reasons:
* Beyond web based configuration, using an IDE for developing serious CMS based application can make sense
* Eclipse is the open platform of choice to build desktop-based tools, and EasyEclipse is the most popular Eclipse distro, providing equivalent features to that of commercial IDEs
* EasyEclipse provides specialized language-focused distro for PHP, Python, Ruby and Java, and those could be used as a base for those fine CMS based on those languages
* the EasyEclipse team works closely with the PHPEclipse team, a well-known open source PHP development environment, and a few of the main open source CMS are based on PHP
* There are already joint efforts underway between EasyEclipse and the Joomla! project to create J!Code, a specialized IDE for Joomla! users, based on Eclipse and EasyEclipse.
Therefore, EasyEclipse is joining the discussion to explore cooperation opportunities with CMS projects to work jointly and create original CMS tooling based on Eclipse, open source Eclipse plugins, and EasyEclipse.
